Leading Academic Software Subscription Provider Utilizes Cameyo on Microsoft Azure to Deliver Educational Software on Any Device
CARY, N.C. – July 1, 2020 – Cameyo, the Digital Workspace solution that delivers Windows and internal web applications to any device from the browser without the need for VPNs, today announced it has partnered with Signpost, a leading information and communication technology (ICT) provider for education, to help enable distance learning by making hundreds of educational software titles available to anyone, on any device. Signpost partnered with Cameyo to enable the delivery of all of its educational software titles within its own instance of Microsoft Azure.
Through its software platform AcademicSoftware.eu, Signpost currently offers over 900 academic software titles to users for a simple annual subscription cost. The company has been rapidly expanding throughout Europe, with over 350,000 education subscribers today and an expectation to grow to 1 million subscribers within 2 years. Signpost needed to make it’s software titles available from anywhere and on any device, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it needed an alternative to the cost and complexity of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
